“We have been trying to sell our home for a year and a half with other agents. It was always the same thing, PRICE and MARKET. We decided to interview several agents including the neighborhood specialist – who basically said he would not list our home any higher than $889,000, and if he brought in a $875,000 offer we would sign something that we would accept that offer. They facilitated the sale of my Morrison home during a difficult "great recession" period, where I honestly did not expect to get the traffic, nor eventual offer I had received. Let me explain . . . I initially put the home on the market after I retired early in 2007. Frankly, the realtor who initially oversaw the marketing of my home, totally miss-read the market at that time. Fast forward 2 years later, I said enough and I contacted Kyle (because of some great references). Well, let me tell you something - during the approximately 2 hour assessment of the market; my home; and his company's unique marketing proposal (e.g., they advertise outside the immediate area of Colorado, as well as little known newsletters, utilizing video tours, social media, etc.). In short, I was quite impressed with his pitch versus my first realtor and previous realtors I have had for other homes - here and in other States. In effect, I am not new to selling a home. So, what happened? My home was sold within a few months - again, during a difficult selling period. More important, our arrangement was mutually satisfactory to both of us . . . As his company reduced the commision fee, with the condition of being able to be assist me in buying a home within a 3 year period. I had no problem with that, as I immediately had my eye on a new condo at Belmar, where prices were ridiculously low due to the recession. Unbelievable setback for the developers there, but with Kyle's assistance, I got a new condo at a rock bottom price. Guess what? That condo today is worth OVER TWICE AS MUCH AS WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I will conclude by closing with a maxim or quote from Kyle . . . "You make your money in real estate when you buy, not when you sell." In effect, what he was saying is that in a down market, you shouldn't despair on the sale price of your home, because you will more than make up for it when you buy another home. That has been my experience. I can't say enough good things about this company. Morals, integrity, and honesty are keystones for this company. Why? After nearly a year of virtually no showings and lack of contact, we were pretty soured on the whole real estate business, and the housing market was right in the midst of the subprime mortgage crash. Despite this, we decided to take another chance and listed with Signature Realty. It took 9 months and nearly 80 showings, but we finally sold our house for a reasonable price.
